Elena Sicoe. She has been painting for as long as she can remember. Even today, a wall of the “Avram Iancu” National College bares one of her murals dating from 1979. She has made a career from this hobby. She has worked for a long period of time in a paint shop belonging to a cooperative in Brad. She has been painting on canvas, wood, glass, and even on rolling stone. From her hands, even the dullest boulders become works of art. Her favorite painting motive is… silence. Her paintings have most of the times a religious theme, arguing that such works provide her an inner peace, a state of mind that she wants to offer to the viewers.
